Miele Canister VacuumThe looks alone can be convincing enough to make any one purchase this small, mean cleaning machine. The style of the Miele S4210 Antares Canister is backed up by Miele’s long history of providing excellent quality products.

Miele has been in the machine cleaning business since 1899. The company launched its first vacuum cleaner in 1927 and has been innovative with their products to the delight of homeowners worldwide. They are well known for giving attention to small details like designs and practicality. Their vacuum cleaners are also very user-friendly.

  • The Miele S4210 may be the lightest and most efficient vacuum cleaner that does not sacrifice quality and durability.
  • This vacuum cleaner boasts of the following features:
  • Muti-layer Filtration
  • Miele Sealed systemHEPA Certified
  • Powerful Vortex Suction Motor
  • 360 degrees swiveling wheels
  • Air flow speed control
  • Comes with Turbo Brush for Carpets

Pros

The Miele brand name is respected worldwide not only because of its long history but the quality of products that they manufacture-- The Miele S4210 Antares Canister vacuum lives up to the name.

Homeowners are very pleased with the performance of it s multilayer filtration system which makes use of innovative clean bag that utilizes electrostatic filter to make sure that no dust particles will return to the environment. The design of the intensive clean bag is made of 3 layers of woven polymer fibers that will ensure that no particles will escape the sealed system of the vacuum cleaner. This makes the Miele S4210 ideal for those who have allergies to dusts and dirt.

Aside from the filtration system the heart of the cleaning process is the vacuum’s motor power. On this aspect Miele S4210 is ahead of the pack. The 1200 watt power motor produces suction which is more than one can expect from this small, lightweight home partner.

Users also have full control over the power of the vacuum cleaner. The Miele S4210 has a 6-stage motor speed control which allows user to choose the appropriate amount of suction power while cleaning their homes. This will prevent curtains, draperies, or upholstery to be drawn unnecessarily towards the nozzle.

Homeowners are also provided with the Turbo Brush which is best for deep cleaning of heavy carpets. There are also other optional features which will appeal to homeowners or users who are prone to allergic reactions upon inhaling dust particles.

The swiveling wheel is a very simple but a very helpful feature which allows users to pull the unit from one room to another. At 10 lbs, the cleaner is also very easy to carry up or down the stairs.

Cons

At $500+ this Miele product may be expensive as a canister vacuum as compared to other reputable brands in the market.

Users appreciate the relatively quiet motor of the S4210 but find the 5th or 6th speeds a bit loud placed side by side with other premium quality canister vacuum cleaners.

The small wheels do swivel 360 degrees but are also potentially trapped when you use the vacuum cleaner on thick carpets.

Another downside will be the 35 mm hose. This doesn’t have any lock which allows homeowners to snap on smaller tools. Note though that most mass produced hose diameters are on 32 mm configuration.

Miele might also have overlooked the internal tool storage on the body of the vacuum cleaner which is a practical feature for homemakers.

The S4210 also has no seals between the bin door and the bin compartment which sometimes leak dusts when not in use.
